Beautiful Blue

For today's Paint Party Friday, I'm posting a little painting I did awhile back of the hydrangeas from our garden. I find the color blue so peaceful and serene and that's why our bedroom is painted that color too!     Your hydrangeas are gorgeous- and one of my favorite plants too....they keep giving and giving all season with their blooms from Spring (blue) to Summer (lime) to Fall (burgundy) I LOVE them and I also love that color of blue!

    I love hydrangeas - you've captured their wonderful fullness and texture. A house near us has a massive bush of pink ones in their garden - I must get a photo...

    I adore blue hydrangeas but I have never tried to paint them. They seem so intimidating! I am glad you were NOT intimidated by them. Lovely!

    Don't hydrangeas have the most wonderful palette? I just love how their colors change as the blooms get older, and how they can fade from blue to purple.
