Gecko Galz February Glittery Designs

"Strange fits of passion have I known"

"Of all the sunbeams that did ever shine"

"I feel the weight of chance desires"

Welcome everyone. Above are several February cards that I made using the gorgeous Gecko Galz images. Lee Anne always puts together beautiful pieces that are inspiring for my paper cards, collages or tags. You can follow and learn more  Gecko Galz on their blog where you can get freebies, shop and learn about the Design team and be inspired. Check us out on Pinterest too!
When you look at my creations , you will see that I like to create girlie, feminine things with lots of sparkle. Stickles is a go to product for me. I always know when my projects are done when  reach for Stickles to add that final glittery accent.

Hope you have a sparkley week,
Take care, Gerri

Here are directions for these pieces:
Beige and Blue Peacock using the Coquette Kit:
To make this I used the coquette female image  and the  multi layered the pretty peacock frame around her. This was placed on an ink stained card and then embellished. The accents include rhinestones, water color paint, gold german scrap and gold glittery Stickles. The hand cut  poetry sentiment reads:Strange Fits of passion I have known and I will dare to tell."

The yellow card - Sunbeams card:
Used the  Gecko Galz Victorian Ladies and the Beautiful borders collage sheets. There is hand stamping of roses to match and then water colored painted. The images were layered on  gold striped paper, painted card stock then trimmed with yellow lace, gold german scrap from Retro Café Art and glittery Stickles. The hand cut  poetry sentiment reads "Of all the sunbeams that ever did shine, the very sweetest had to be given to thee."
The second red card -Chance desires:
Used the  Gecko Galz Victorian Ladies and the Beautiful borders collage sheets. There is hand stamping of scrip and a red feather  to add dimension. The images were  layered on painted card stock, red patterned paper then  trimmed with gold fiber trim, metal corners,  and glittery Stickles. The hand cut  poetry sentiment reads "I feel the weight of chance desires: my hopes no more must change their names."

Girlie Steampunk Gear Cards

"Remember"

"Enduring"

"Legacy"

Here are some little cards with a Steampunk attitude, that I like to call Girlie Steampunk because they have romantic and sparkly accents. Ha! The supplies are  from Retro Café Art, including black German foil, the gears, and background images. Retro Café Art is  one of my favorite  go to art supply places. Instead of photographing them on my traditional black back drop,  I tried it out on a green distressed trunk.  I had picked up a pair of these trunks  at a flea market. I do  like the added texture it brings  and will definitely use it as a back drop again.

Hope you will have an art filled week. Take care, Gerri
