Christmas Wish Cutie Pie

Here's wishing everyone a Merry Christmas Eve. Hope you are spending it with friends and family. We are lucky to have our daughter home from college and it is wonderful. She's our little cutie. Here's a little cutie to spend your day with.

So to make this I started with the  music sheet from the  Gecko Galz paper pack and cut it into a tag shape. The next part was to cut out the little Christmas cutie from the  Gecko Galz old fashioned Christmas sheet and glue her to a tiny watercolored song music sheet from the same sheet. Some red cut honey comb paper from Retro cafe art  was used to make her dress . The Christmas cutie was detailed with Stickles and a white Pom Pom. Additional accents were the red clip, string of lights from Retro cafe art , the christmas wish sentiment and the string  of white snow ball Pom poms. The big red plaid bow was the finishing touch.
Hope you will spend time with a little cutie this week.

Mason Jar Cozy Cottage

Here's a sweet little pink card for Christmas. I loved the 100 proof press mason jar stamp and used it before on a Christmas ornament this year. I think it can frame anything. .... right now I 'm having it contain a little cozy Christmas scene.

I started by stamping the mason jar on a Retro Cafe Art Christmas Pink by Cassandra VanCuren ATC collage  sheet image. It was layered on a tan glassine scrap of paper and a bits of antique lace. It is framed by three wooden snowflakes that I painted cream  added pink roses and touches of copper glitter. The pink printed card has tiny drawn stitches around the edge too.

Hope you will see a cozy scene this week.
Sincerely, gerri

Pink White and Black Trees

Seems to be a pink Christmas  for me this year! I did alot of projects in pink this season. I wonder why?I'm just loving this pink, black paper which was the inspiration.

To make this I started with the patterned paper and added some fiber snowflakes that I painted pink and added Pink Stickles. Some cute Retro Cafe Art pine tree cut outs came next. One is painted pink, one black and one is Pink Stickles. Some fiber accents and they were on their way!

Hope you are in the pink this week!

May Your Days be Merry and Bright Together

Not all my Christmas cards are even cards, sometimes I send tags. I find my friends put them on their Christmas trees  as ornaments. This Pastel Christmas tag for  Retro Cafe Art is  one of my favorite this year of the  60 cards/tags and even some ornaments that I created.

I had this vellem pastel paper for many years but could never use it. When I saw the pretty friends Retro Cafe Art image I knew they belonged together. The image is from the Let it Snow by Cassandra Van Curen collage sheet. I added a pink foil accent with some ombre ribbon and a Stickled RCA Star. The star is from the RCA  Star mix cutouts. The pearl accents, ribbon tie and watercolored accents came last. Now my favorite paper had a beautiful pair of friends to join it.

Hope your week is merry and bright!
Always, gerri

Golden Jeweled Christmas Tag

Sometimes I don't send cards, I send ornaments instead. Here is one for a special friend, I created this year. This will be a special Christmas cause we are finally moving into our new home. You could say it's our finest creation. Our builder has been wonderful  with superb craftsmanship and we just adore our selections. I'll post some pictures soon.... maybe for Christmas.

To make this metal tag I painted it gold and white and then stamped the 100 proof Press Big Black Christmas tree. I used Stickles to create the green branches, red ornaments, gold garland, gold candle lights. There are some blue rhinestones and a gold star on top. Under the tree are Retro Cafe Art presents.

Hope you have a golden week.

Wings take Flight Above

Oh, I do so love to  make tiny stuff art work. Why that is I really don't really know. My husband makes miniature art too! Today my project is a little ornament with a tiny hook, I included a second picture with a penny for scale. LOL.

I painted a square of chipboard gold and added the sweet angel  Retro Cafe Art image from the Assorted Christmas Sheet by Debrina Pratt collage sheet. I used gold Stickles for some glitter accents. Tiny stars where put in the corners and some gold trimmed sheer lace edged the piece. A tiny hook and the sentiment "Wings take flight above" finished this little beauty.

Hope you will discover something tiny this week.
artfully yours, gerri

But wait  Gecko Galz give gifts too..... when you subscribe to the newsletter they send a free sheet each month! They have a yahoo group too, so there's lots of contests, inspiration and fun!

Well to make this card I started with a vintage couple image from Gecko Galz Christmas Chic sheet and a 1907 Music sheet image from the Gecko Galz Alter me Sheet. The were layered on Grandma House Papers. This was trimmed with gold fiber, red rhinestones and Gold Stickles accents. It was layered on a red and tan printed card blank. The final touch was some gold paint for depth.

Copper Christmas Trees

I like using unusual color combination and this Christmas card is one of them. Copper and green work wonderfully together. Don't you think. Do like to try new things?

I started with a Gecko Galz image from  the Postage Card Memories collage sheet that was layered on ivory patterned paper paper with some brown grosgrain ribbon trim. Some coppery glitter sprigs and some antique brass copper colored  tree charms  from Retro Cafe Art were added for dimension. The entire thing was layered on wood patterned glitter paper. Tiny Dimensional pearl accents in copper accent complete this card.

Hope you will try something new this week.
Yours Truly, gerri

Look below my RCA ornament project today to see if it is YOU?

I' m sharing some Retro Cafe Art ornaments I made and will sending as Christmas greetings to several special people. RCA has such amazing  and cute supplies no matter what time of year!

To make these little beauties, I started with the Cassandra Van Curen Christmas ATC collage shape and sandwiched the images between the RCA chipboard ornaments. The ornaments were painted pinks, over stamped with a snow flake stamp and then pink Dimensional pearl was used for the accents. On the images I also added some Pink Stickles for a little shine. An ombre pink and aqua ribbon finished these ornaments now all you need is to add the hook for the tree.

And now for something completely different....Let's go to a Christmas Circus!

I made this fun project  to celebrate my very first giveaway sponsored by Retro Cafe Art..... so how do you win the $25 Gift Certificate to Retro Cafe Art Gallery? Well, it's easy. Go to the Retro Cafe Art Gallery Facebook page, like it, and let her know Gerri sent you! Then just leave a comment here on my blog telling me that you did that and what your favorite thing from the Retro Cafe Art Gallery store is!

The giveaway will remain open  for a week through Monday,  December 10. The winner will be announced on my blog on Tuesday December 11th and you will have 48 hours to claim the prize. After 48 hours, a new winner will be drawn. This giveaway is open worldwide, as it is a gift certificate with a set amount.

So using  the Retro Cafe Art Circus Shrine Stage I created a fantasy winter wonderland by painting it red and gold and adding Red and Green Stickles. The background is some gold and red fiber ribbon and the ground is ivory cotton batting with glitter snow.

I adore Retro Cafe Arts cut outs, it makes creating so quick, no fussy cutting needed. These Retro Cafe Art Circus Cut outs  were detailed with Christmas colors and Stickles accents too. I cut the clowns legs so he could ride on the zebra or the elephant. I put them on the  Theater character stands which makes them stand up! I will be adding new characters as time goes by and will show  them to you.

Here's all the characters, props and the stage..... I love the giant snowball  the elephant is standing on. LOL. I added reindeer antlers to the zebra!

These are details on the cute bottle brush trees that I used for the props. I topped them with tiny stars from the Star Mix Cutouts and put them on red pointy sequin bases.

Here's the completed  Christmas Project. I think I'll have fun moving my little characters around during the holidays!

This last shot is just a close up so you can see my silly clown!

I receive free product from Retro Cafe Art Gallery, as I design for the store, however, I was not given any financial compensation for this post and all opinions are my definitely my own.
Take care, Gerri
