Hope to see you even more

My daughter will arrive from college this week and we are so excited to see her even more. She is a true water gal, even swimming  in Maine where the ocean is very cold. Others may put in their toes, but she'll dive right in. The little tag below for my 100 Proof Press DT shows a Victorian gal in her bathing costume (2843-SC) sailing around on her glittering little boat.

The background marbleized paper reminded my of sea foam bubbles . For the background, there are stickers of a sparkly seahorse, (I used Stickles, of course), a glitter sea fan and a large conch rub-on. The Gibson girl is watercolored and sits on a boat in the sea on fiber ribbon. A sprinkle of colored star fish, shells and a paper sand dollar are additional accents.I tied on an ombre ribbon to complete my tiny beauty.

    No wonder you are excited at the prospect of having your daughter home, spending time with her.

    Great tag! My two daughters are both water bugs, as well. We live in MI, so they are used to the cold water, too. Heading up North to the lake this weekend for the 4th. Happy creating!

    Hi Gerri, I love your beautiful tag! The background you picked is perfect for it. Sometimes it's hard to place a marbled background. Great eye for the colors too. My son's only "sport" has been anything to do with water. He's wanting to learn scuba next. LoL. I'm sure you'll have a fabulous time with your daughter. I'm wondering if she's a tea drinker too? ;-)

    Great to have your daughter back , my son is just back from the UK after finishing art school. Love this piece and the great effect you have with fabric gives it great texture. Does look like you lady is a little afraid of the water though !

    Gorgeous tag Gerri, love your Gibson gal perched in the boat and the starfish and shells look fabulous with that bg paper!. So happy you have your daughter home from college, enjoy every minute of your time together! My daughter leaves today, she came home from Kentucky where she is a teacher. We had the luxury of a 2 week visit this time. Enjoy the time you have together!
