She must have some magic

This is the first week for Grungy Monday Challenge  GM #01 over at lovely Linda's Studio L3 . I only started participating in the Compendium Challenges in  the last few weeks, so I am determined to do every  Grungy Monday challenge. We owe this special event to the amazing Tim Holtz , with the first week being based on using his "12 Tags of Christmas 2008 tag #10 tag" as our inspiration. Ok, so my idea of grungy is still sorta pretty; I cant help it. You will see, I did tatter the netting. LOL.
To create this pretty tag I started with masking the background and spraying with mists made of Alcohol ink and Perfect Pearls. I wrapped some novelty fiber and wire around the tag for vertical interest. Layered some painted daisies with a music note center. Cut two butterflies out of grunge board and painted them with Liquid Pearls and white acrylic. Made a little gold framed charm with an Artchix Studio image. Stamped  and cut out the word "SHE" . Added my little word snippets, rhinestones and netting and SHE was magically finished.
Till next time, look for the magic. gerri

  10. My favorite look of them all is "Grungy and Pretty," and you do that so beautifully, Gerri. This is a gorgeous tag. The masking is perfect, and the lovely, springtime butterflies and flower are so sweet. The Artchix image in the charm is a brilliant embellishment. I'd say "Magic" is the right word.

Thanks so much for helping launch Grungy Monday! Can't wait to see more of your Tim-inspired art.
