To make this card I used marbleized rose and green paper for the base. Added a rose color layer then the french floral dictionary page. A gold trimmed ribbon is topped with a "Congratulations" sentiment and a bunch of pink paper roses surrounded by a gold filigree metal piece that is....a buckle. You know how I love to repurpose my supplies! Some gold tiny German scrap around the edge and the card is all done.
Here's congratulating you all your art this week.
sincerely, gerri

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Gerri. Now let me see, what could I do that would deserve a congrats card :o). The paper you used is so wonderful ... the whole thing is pure delight. Take care, have a wonderful day, Gerri. xxDonna
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Is it a card? A desk pad? A hanging? I'm unfamilar with stamping and crafting like this.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday Gerri
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card Gerri. Gorgeous paper.
Always a good idea to have cards to hand whether congratulations or Thinking of You. Like yourself I make lots of cards. My Christmas cardmaking is underway but it dawned on me only yesterday (I am a bit slow!) this is August that leaves only 4 clear months of preparations Yikes!
Today a 21st birthday card is on my mind so I really should step away from the laptop and get some work done.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Wishes
Lynne

ReplyDeletebeautiful Gerri! This background paper you chose, is pretty by itself, and you gave more beauty to it, to finish the card! Luv the trimming & roses! Very pretty! :-)

Elegant and beautiful card. You're smart to keep some cards on hand "just in case". One must craft when the muse hits, not be rushed in to making something last minute.
