He promised her a summer time farm market bouquet

Today for Paint Party Friday, I am posting my very first large watercolor. I forgot my pad at art class and had to borrow a piece of paper from a fellow student. This artist makes large colorful amazing abstract type paintings, so the paper he gave me was huge ....22"x 30". I decided just to go with and and boy, was I surprised. It did take me about 2.5 hrs, so I didn't eat lunch in between painting and drawing, but it was well worth it. The flower bouquet of golden sunflowers, fuchsia cockscomb and lime zinnias are a
the perfect summertime farm market bouquet. My daughter and I bought them the day before solely for the purpose for me to paint. After class, I put the bouquet in our living room with a little turq and jade tea set my daughter made when she was a little girl, so I thought I'd share a photo of that too.

    the original bouquet is beautiful and you did a great job recreating it! I don't usually work very big either although I am planning some large oil canvasses soon - if I can ever find some time! Happy PPF.

    Your flowers are great, as usual, but I am always impressed with how much effort and detail you put into things like the vase and the cloth, and in how you display the finished painting.

    Beautiful colors, Gerri. What a huge watercolor that must be! I've never made one that large myself. And the teaset is so pretty, especially set there with the flowers.

    Wow, that was a lot of work, but the outcome is spectacular! And you gotta know, I love that tea set. =)
    Our 100 degree temps all this week...yuk! We're looking at lower temps this week finally. Hopefully I can send that your way too (the good temps, I mean).

    Hooray for your Bouquet! WOndeful to see that big painting of fleurs that you did in just one intense session at Nancy's. How you have progressed in confidence and skill. You give me hope!!
