Pretty Witches looking glass

Since Halloween is my favorite holiday, I decided to make something unusual. How about a creepy Victorian mirror using Retro Cafe Art supplies! I just couldn't resist especially when I saw those skeleton hands. It has silver and black glitter spiders, black lace and rhinestones too!

Hope everyone is having a boo-tiful week.

Caution over the hill baby

Recently at work a coworker was celebrating his 40th birthday and also expecting a new baby, so we combined the event to celebrate both. Being in the construction business, I knew exactly the kind of  cake I wanted to make. Why a "Caution, over the hill"  diaper cake, of course! See the pacifiers in the big yellow truck? I know it's a bit different from the art I usually make but, I thought I'd show you so you could have a chuckle today!

Hope you throw caution to the wind this week...
Do take care,
Gerri

A Beautiful Bonjour

For Gecko Galz here is a card to say hello.
Gecko Galz will be having a Blog Hop at this month!
The dates are Oct 25 thru Oct 27th.
Do stop by and say hello, there will fun, art and prizes too!

This  card used the
Sept costume paper collage sheet.
To make this card I stamped
the background paper with
a gulag tee stamp and
sprayed with colored ink. I
attached the costumed
beauty from the sept
costume beauty sheet.
Some blue German scrap
was put in the corners and
Stickles was used for
accents. Redgrave of the
card were water colored
too. The final touch was the
sentiment "Bonjour"

Hope you will say "Bonjour " to someone special this week.
artfully yours, gerri

I will put a spell on you

Here's  a bewitching tag for my September Gecko Galz Design Team.  Gecko Galz has the most amazing collage sheet, you can check them out here. Halloween is my favorite Halloween, so you'll see alot of Halloween projects in the upcoming weeks. I guess my interest in this holiday is because my birthday is near this time and it's when I met my husband.  It was our anniversary recently so, I guess you could say I put a spell on him all those years ago!

To make this tag I used punchella as a stencil andcolored with orange paint.
A black leaf was layered with the witch image from the Witchy Women collage sheet.
Some embellishments include the broom, spell book, Paper spider
and hat from Retro Cafe Art. The webs in the corner came next also from Retro Cafe Art.
Rhinestones, Stickles and a ribbon complete this bewitching tag.

Hope you will cast a spell this week.

Paris kiss

For Gecko Galz here is a card that I made using one of their collage sheets. I love the naughty dressing room shots. Oh La la! While I was out and about recently,  I was in Urban Outfitters in Savannah and they had a sweeping 3 story  high dressing room with numerous crystal chandeliers. I snapped a quick photo and this was my dressing room inspiration for this card.

To make this card I started with an image from the risqué women Gecko Galz  August collage sheet. Her image was framed in black then layered on printed paper and placed on a gold card front. A bit of black lace, a pearl stick pin and a stamped Paris tag add interest. The final accents include tiny pearls, gold edge stickers and gold Stickles.

Hope you will be a little risque this week!
Take care, Gerri

Turning heads

For Gecko Galz Design team, I've created  a tag today. I like making tags but always seem to try to explode them of the surface, no flat tags for me! This one was an experiment in color using a light jade green and red, I do think it works. If I only listened to my daughter, who said at an early age, I don't know what you are worried about all colors go together. I now have to agree!

Here is a tag using an image from risqué women  August collage sheets. I started with a music paper tag and colored it with water color paint. It was layered on a solid burgundy paper. Some burgundy paper flower confetti, black lace and gold Stickles accented the tie. A gold tie, black rhinestones and  the words "turning heads" complete this piece.

Hope you will turn some heads this week.
take care, gerri

Colorful Free Spirit

Today for Retro Cafe Art I am showing you a bracelet . MaryLou is away,l  so sorry she isn't in the photo.... plus she doesn't have any arms. LOL. I adore making Jewelry  its fun, easy and helps my pocket book too! It also is such a conversation starter. I'm sure you have been asked about your jewelry from time to time and to be complimented on something you made is such a great feeling.

Well to make this piece I started with  Mini fairy bloom floral cut outs and painted them each with two colors.Stamping came next. I stacked and glued them together adding some Stickles and Rhinestones for shine, I glued them to a piece of braid and attached a claso. and that was that.

Hope you will get  something sparkley this week.
artfully yours, gerri
