I happened to have some white diecut bookmarks that I used for my base. I inked them up and edged them in gold. Started layering transparencies of Lady Actresses from Graphics Fairy with colored pictures of Paris. There is handstamping of Paris images from Cavallini also. Some real French postage stamps from one of my wonderful fleamarket finds added some detail and color. A touch of gold german scrap, a knotted strand of lovely gold ribbon and c'est fini.
Hope you'll take a weekend trip with your imagination this week.
yours truly, gerri

ReplyDeleteStop doing this to me - I keep falling off my chair everytime I look at your incredible artwork.
I have to say that any book would love to have one of those bookmarks safely tucked inside it's pages. Beyond stunning my friend. Adore each and everyone.

Just loving your Paris tags, beautiful. And the pink peony you drew is gorgeous and so is your artwork of it. Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. The images from Graphics Fairy were transfered using Transfer Artist Paper, or TAP for short. Hope that helps and looking forward to visiting you again :)
ReplyDeleteWow what fantabulous bookmarks just love them, so romantic and nostalgic with perfect imagery and colours.

Ooh Paris! Just Gorgeous Bookmarks!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gerri for your sweet comments, I always enjoy hearing from you. I really appreciate the help you gave me on my card, I will have to find more twine, sure I have some somewhere. You are right, I may remove it and add some bakers twine instead. Thanks for helping out. ~Diane
ReplyDeleteWow Gerri, How did I miss these? They're gorgeous & exciting! Traveling is such a passion of mine, and these just make me wanna go back to Paris! The elements you used are great--I'm a big fan of transparencies! I'd hate to hide those in a book...lol. These are the type of bookmarks that you use when you read out in public, and hold it on the outside of your book while your reading so everyone else wishes they had one too. =)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Lisa
