For the month of November, Gingersnap Creations' theme is "On the Farm" and this week the challenge is titled "Farm Fresh" GC125. Come on over to plant your creation, sow the seeds of friendship and harvest ideas from my fellow Design Team members. My Design team piece is a card that combines several farmy items like red burlap, blue gingham and red rick rack.
The sweet farm girl image might look familiar...she's actually Dorthy from the Magic of Oz paper by Graphic45. Remember, she was a farm girl from Kansas. LOL. I removed her bow, painted her ruby slippers black and cut out little Toto from her basket. I drew and painted a pile of apples and put them in her basket instead. I layered the matching Graphic 45 papers for the background. You can find this paper at Flying Unicorn. Some red burlap, painted rick rack, a blue flower, red Stickles accents and a Home Sweet Home sign complete today's card.
Hope you will be able to visit your Home Sweet Home this week.
sincerely, gerri

This is just wonderful! Very eye-catching even in the thumbnail. Great use of color and testure. Your little farm girl here looks so spunky --- exactly what's needed on a farm! (I've learned that. We moved to our rural paradise of 55 acres in April, and every day is an adventure.)
ReplyDeleteI've really missed my visits to everyone's blogs while my hand's been resting. What a pleasure it is to be back!
ReplyDeleteAnd your charmer of a card is just delightful, well worth the visit--your flower looks very nearly like denim on my screen, and your Dorothy's pointing the way to contentment and joy in everyday things.
Adorable!
