Gecko Galz 24 Tags of Christmas

Hello Friends near and far,
Today I am the featured Designer on The Gecko Galz Blog for the 24 Tags of Christmas. I am sharing a dimensional tag with  a huge snowflake with you today. The Gecko Galz image is from the Jack Frost collage sheet found on Etsy.

To make this tag, I started by painting a tag light golds  and edged it with bright gold.  The Gecko Galz image came next . The embellishments included Dresden gold paper edging, lt blue paper tape, a large dimensional snowflake and tiny confetti snow flakes, The sentiment Merry Christmas was added last. A few  gold and silver fiber ribbons to hand the tag completed this tag creation.

Today I am the featured Designer on The Gecko Galz Blog for the 24 Tags of Christmas. I am sharing a non traditional dimensional tag with you today. The Gecko Galz image is from the Jack Frost collage sheet found on Etsy.

To make this tag, I started by painting a tag red and edged it with silver, The Gecko Galz image came next . The embellishments included Dresden black paper edging, silver glitter swirls , a silver branch and tiny confetti snow flakes, The sentiment Winter Wonder was added last. A few ribbons to hand the tag completed this creation.

Hello Friends near and far, old and new,
Today I am featured as a Geck Galz designer today at the Gecko Galz blog.
Come check us out on the blog and if you are a creative, you can see lots of inspiration and also participate to win prizes. This months challenge is Peace on earth, you can use any Gecko Galz image to enter this contest. Below are 2 cards and 2 tags using Gecko Galz images from the Christmas Cuties and Merry Little Angels. The cards start with a fabric ground with paper cut lots and lots of glitter and shine the tags start with a Gelli printed background and layered with fibers, and shiny papers. Both cards and tags have the pretty Gecko Galz images as the finishing touch.

To make these cards, I start with a handmade gelli and stamped background. I layer the fussy cut beautiful Gecko Galz gypsy and add paper embellishments some hand made and others store bought. like borders or the cute owl. The final touch is the sentiment. Hope you have enjoyed my work this month.

A Mermaid's Birthday

Today  I  am sharing a sweet little Mermaid party for a dear friends daughter's birthday party.
Here are some photos of the layered birthday card,  gift tag and the gift bag that I painted for that occasion. I don't  usually get to do creations for little children so, it was great fun. As you know, I  have always adored mermaids, even before it became popular. LOL. I am also sharing a picture of the venue for the darling party too.

Gecko Galz September Feature Designer

Hello Friends,

Today I am the featured designer over at Gecko Galz. I have made some greeting cards for your inspiration using Gecko Galz images. Stop by Gecko Galz for more inspiration and prizes too.

To make my cards I start with card stock, then layer Patterned paper, Gecko Galz Steampunk images and other tiny printed images. The embellishments come last...they are Stickels glitter , Liquid Pearls dimensional paint , Watercolor Paint, Fibers(Lace) , Stickers and some form of sentiment. I have learned that you need 4 or 5 layers to get a complete collage look for your cards. Hope you enjoy these greeting cards. Have a Happy week. Gerri

Gecko Galz Customer Challenge

Hello Friends,
For the month of September Gecko Galz has a fun Customer Challenge titled Autumn Steampunk.
Just use a Gecko Galz image and you could win a $25.00 gift certificate to their site. Why not give it a try.For your inspiration I have created a greeting card called thinking of you.
I started with a brown card and added the lace and acetate backgrounders. The lady image and then the globe and watch from Gecko Galz images came  next. The autumn leaves were layered next with the Stickles, water color paint and the thinking of you stamp, were the final pieces needed to complete this card.

Gecko Galz August Feature Designer

Hello Friends,
Today I am featured over at Gecko Galz as the Designer of the Day. As it is summer time, I am continuing with a seaside theme for you using Gecko Galz products. I adore the variety of images they have to offer, you should check them out. Here are how I made these cards:
I started with a gelli printed card base as a  background and stamped some starfish and sea urchins.  I layered the Gecko Galz image from Summer Seas collage sheet and die cut mermaid tails that was cut out of gelli printed paper. Some glitter, sequin shells with pearls, the sentiments  came next and I was all done.
