Crowns are the theme for
Gingersnap Creations challenge GC#91 , so here is a large crown card template that I designed. My first use for the template is a card called "Queen of Hearts" . Got out my stamps and tried something different and stamped some wooden hearts ; I do like the effect. Then I added some German scrap, rhinestones and a metal lock and key to complete the crown. The metal lock and key are colored to fulfill the
Compendium of Curiosities Challenge CCC#33 over at L3 Studio. The technique is called Altered Metal Alchol Inks and check out page 56 of Tim Holtz's book to see how.
Using the crown template again, the second card is a woodland fairy princess with a vintage image, a painted skeleton leaf , some tiny rhinestones and German scrap. I had fun using lots of different stamps, for the butterflies, the daisies and the ferns . The inspiration was some tiny daffodils just starting to pop up, outside our home. Oh this must be the beginning of spring fever.
