A Mermaid's Birthday

Today  I  am sharing a sweet little Mermaid party for a dear friends daughter's birthday party.
Here are some photos of the layered birthday card,  gift tag and the gift bag that I painted for that occasion. I don't  usually get to do creations for little children so, it was great fun. As you know, I  have always adored mermaids, even before it became popular. LOL. I am also sharing a picture of the venue for the darling party too.

Gecko Galz September Feature Designer

Hello Friends,

Today I am the featured designer over at Gecko Galz. I have made some greeting cards for your inspiration using Gecko Galz images. Stop by Gecko Galz for more inspiration and prizes too.

To make my cards I start with card stock, then layer Patterned paper, Gecko Galz Steampunk images and other tiny printed images. The embellishments come last...they are Stickels glitter , Liquid Pearls dimensional paint , Watercolor Paint, Fibers(Lace) , Stickers and some form of sentiment. I have learned that you need 4 or 5 layers to get a complete collage look for your cards. Hope you enjoy these greeting cards. Have a Happy week. Gerri

Thinking Of You

Gecko Galz Customer Challenge

Hello Friends,
For the month of September Gecko Galz has a fun Customer Challenge titled Autumn Steampunk.
Just use a Gecko Galz image and you could win a $25.00 gift certificate to their site. Why not give it a try.For your inspiration I have created a greeting card called thinking of you.
I started with a brown card and added the lace and acetate backgrounders. The lady image and then the globe and watch from Gecko Galz images came  next. The autumn leaves were layered next with the Stickles, water color paint and the thinking of you stamp, were the final pieces needed to complete this card.
