Gecko Gal Featured Designer Day August 2026

 Today, I am so pleased to announce that I am the featured designer on the Gecko Galz blog . Using this month's August   2026 theme of  "Surreal Wonderland",  I created  these greeting cards for your design inspiration.

Curios

To make these cards I started with printed cardstock and added the images from Gecko Galz collage sheet Surreal Wonderland on Etsy. The borders , both hearts and checks are stickers. Additional Wonderland images were added, as well as; a heart shaped lock with ribbon. The layered sentiments were next. The final touches were glitter Stickles , twine and white / black marker.

Here is a greeting card  card I created for inspiration:

Lost in Wonder

To make this greeting card I started with a gelli printed card and added the large wonderland image from the Gecko Galz Etsy shop called Surreal Wonderland. Next came the mushroom stickers and the green paper grass. The clock face and moveable hands was next. The sentiment reads "Lost in Wonder". The final touches were water color painting the tress and adding detail to the mushrooms and clock moss. The final touch was glitter Stickles.

To make these cards I started with patterned  pink cardstock and used various papers with sheer fabric A shaped paper came next under the bird images from Gecko Galz sheet, Spring Song Birds on Etsy.  Stickers of bows , a fence and a butterfly were added. The sentiments  came next. The banners were last. 

The final touch is Glitter Stickles.

To make this card I started with pink cardstock and used  ivy rub ons at the corners and layered various papers with sheer fabric A shaped paper came next with the bird images from Gecko Galz sheet, Spring Song Birds on Etsy. The sentiment and the little tickets came next. The banner was last with little rose rub ons. The final touch is Glitter Stickles.

Here is a greeting card I created with pastel colors  for inspiration:

                              "You are all together Lovely"

To make this card I layered printed cardstock on a cream card and added ink to the edges. The large lace edge was next. Patterned images of the  rose and birdcage plus the framed pretty women image came next. The  image is from  Gecko Galz Versailles collage sheet on Etsy. The finishing details were patterned corners, gem stickers, Gold glitter Stickles and the sentiment "You are all together lovely."

Today I am so pleased to announce that I am the featured designer on the Gecko Galz blog . Using this month's  August theme of  "Sheherazade ",  I was inspired me to make  a greeting card and a journal pocket with tags.

Here are my art pieces all using images from Gecko Galz " Sheherazade" collage sheet on ETSY, that I am sharing with you today: 

THE WORLD NEEDS WHO YOU WERE MADE TO BE

TODAY IS FULL OF POSSIBLE JUNK JOURNAL POCKET

INDIVIDUAL POCKET TAGS

To make the card I layered cardstock, blue glitter tape, gold dollie and the female image from Gecko Galz Etsy collage sheet Sheherazade. The accents were glitter paint on the halo, gold paint and stickles accents. The sentiment reads
"The world needs who you were made to be."

To make the journal pocket I folded a double side paper and added Blue and gold German scrap and tiny blue rhinestone plus the sentiment Today is full of Possible. The tags with layers with images from Gecko Galz collage sheet, with realistic images, Stickle accents, sentiments, watercolor accents, a moon sticker and different fiber ribbons. Just perfect for my junk journal.

                 Here is a greeting card Titled "Dreamer of Dreams"

DREAMER OF DREAMS

To make this card I layered yellow swirly paper on card stock with sheer fabric too. A gold dolly was next with the female image from Gecko Galz Sheherazade collage sheet placed on top . Embellishments  include small paper  gold German scrap, gold rhinestone stickers, tiny butterfly stickers and a scrap of gold fabric The sentiment came last " Dreamer of Dreams."

To make these cards I started with marbleized or gold printed  cardstock and layered gold and blue metallic papers. The stunning female figures are from Gecko Galz Etsy shop  image from the Gatsby Girl collage sheet   and came next. The embellishments were gold Dresden scrap. circle trim, photo corners   and pale blue or silver  rhinestones . The sentiments came last with "Dwell On the Possibilities and Know Your Worth".

To make this card I started with gold printed cardstock and layered gold and navy metallic paper. The stunning female figure is from Gecko Galz Etsy shop  image from the Gatsby Girl collage sheet   and came next. The embellishments were gold Dresden scrap. some dark blue rhinestones and a gold crown. The sentiment came last with the words                    "Own your story".

If Love was.......

To make these I started with a printed background on card stock, whether gelli printed, water colored or printed. Layers come next with different papers, both solids and printed for dimension. Next comes the main image, the female swimmers were from Sweet Summer Days  sheet and the crab was from Fish Camp sheet both from the Gecko Galz Etsy shop.. Embellishments come next, 3d beach balls, stickers, netting, shells, and ribbon trim. The final piece is always the sentiment, stamped or printed.

To make this card I started with a Gelli printed blue background  on lilac cardstock and put red photo corners on it. The image was from Gecko Galz collage sheet titled Sweet Summer Days  on EtsySweet Summer Days  on Etsy. Embellishments include wave cutouts, rick rack, bubble stickers  and a tiny life saving ring. The last item was the sentiment "Catch me by the Sea. and some Stickles glitter.

Featured Designer on Geckogalz Today

 Hi there dear Art friends both Near and Far,

Today I am the featured Design on the Gecko Galz blog, so I've made two  different greeting cards  for you with the theme of Creepy Circus. I'm starting to get ready for Halloween, my favorite time of year. I will make 35 different cards for this holiday. Can't wait.

To make these cards I started with Gelli printed cards . The images are from the Gecko Galz sheet called Les Enfants de la Mort found here on ETSY. The layers include filagree stencil, cutout crystal ball, stamped Palmistry images, a cut out snake  and a crystal frame. The sentiments came last...Snake Charmer and Fortune Teller.

Here is a Spooky  themed  greeting card  I made for your inspiration using the Gecko Galz images. Here is a link to Les Enfants de la Mort beautiful dark darlings.  Starting with a  Gelli printed  greeting card as the ground, I added layers of a cut out tent, spider web, poison candy labels poison bottles, candy apple, little ravens and YES! black cotton candy.  The little child from Gecko Galz came next.  "It's a circus out there" sentiment with some watercolor accents were the finishing detail.

For a little inspiration, here are two a tag and a card that I created for you to see. To make these, I started with gelli printed bases and added some die cuts, paper molded sea shells, fiber , stickers, rubb-ons and ribbon. The pretty female images are from the  Summer Girls  collage sheets from Gecko Galz on Etsy. Some additional accents were Stickles glitter and watercolor paint. The sentiments came last saying... See the World and Happiness is a direction, not a destination.

Today at the gecko galz blog, I am the featured artist.Here are some projects I created  all around the theme of the Sea.  Hope they make you smile.

For a little inspiration, here are several cards and a tag that I created for you to sea (see). To make these, I started with gelli printed bases and added some die cut sea shells, 3d sea items, stickers, shell sequins, little foam fish and dimensional sea items. The pretty female images are from the  Summer Girls and Between the Lines collage sheets from Gecko Galz on Etsy. Some additional accents were Stickles glitter and watercolor paint. The sentiments came last saying... Unforgetable, Oh Happy Day amd Enjoy the Day.
