To make this card I started with a gelli pronted background and added this Gecko Galz cutie from the Valentines Sweetheart sheet. The embellishments are white German scrap, white glitter hearts, a heart boarder and thin pink metallic  tape. Some Stickles pink glitter was added last,  as the finishing touch!

Mason Jar Cozy Cottage

Here's a sweet little pink card for Christmas. I loved the 100 proof press mason jar stamp and used it before on a Christmas ornament this year. I think it can frame anything. .... right now I 'm having it contain a little cozy Christmas scene.

I started by stamping the mason jar on a Retro Cafe Art Christmas Pink by Cassandra VanCuren ATC collage  sheet image. It was layered on a tan glassine scrap of paper and a bits of antique lace. It is framed by three wooden snowflakes that I painted cream  added pink roses and touches of copper glitter. The pink printed card has tiny drawn stitches around the edge too.

Golden Jeweled Christmas Tag

Sometimes I don't send cards, I send ornaments instead. Here is one for a special friend, I created this year. This will be a special Christmas cause we are finally moving into our new home. You could say it's our finest creation. Our builder has been wonderful  with superb craftsmanship and we just adore our selections. I'll post some pictures soon.... maybe for Christmas.

To make this metal tag I painted it gold and white and then stamped the 100 proof Press Big Black Christmas tree. I used Stickles to create the green branches, red ornaments, gold garland, gold candle lights. There are some blue rhinestones and a gold star on top. Under the tree are Retro Cafe Art presents.

Mason Jar Christmas

Who decides whats in style in the craft world anyway. I would like to know maybe I should do research on that idea. Right now, I see lots of  mason jars, foxes, mustaches and owls in various forms.  When I saw this Mason Jar stamp..... I knew I wanted to use it to capture a Christmas theme. I created this two sided paper doily tag ornament using it as the center piece.

The  2.5" mason jar  stamp is from 100 Proof Press and is stamped on pretty Cassandra VanCuren pink Christmas collage sheet images from Retro Cafe Art.  I then cut it out the little jar. The jar is layered on various pastel stickers that are glued on a tiny white doily. Some pink tinsel, ribbons, two mini glitter shiny jingle bells, glittery Stickles and Liquid pearls were all used as accents. A big pink ribbon tie and the water colored "Wishing you a Merry Christmas" sentiment was added last to complete this.

Cut A Rug

Today for 100 Proof Press let's dance up a storm and cut a rug. I have a very eclectic musical taste and just love to listen to Alternative Rock these days. I especially love to blast it loud when doing housework! To celebrate music, all kinds of music, I created this tag.

To make this dimensional tag, the rug came first. I used two different 100 Proof Press rubber stamps and put them together in an usual way. The  length of fringe was stamped several times and cut for movement. The octagonal design 2  stamp was used to create the rug's design but in three pieces. I water colored the whole thing for continuity. The rug was layered on a music paper tag. I added the pink record player and the sentiment "Let's dance and Cut a Rug". The accents include glittery Stickles, colorful fiber and a beige ribbon tie,

Visiting Angel Calendar Page

For today's 100 Proof Press Design team post, it's a page out of my new calendar. I will be making or at least trying to finish it for 2013. LOL.  Why I started in December...I don't know! The  sweet blank calendar is available from 100 Proof Press. Its great cause its just the right size not to big and not too little.

 To make this I covered the calendar page with some patterned glitter paper in blue. I added the vintage women image and added her wings. The 100 Proof Press wings were stamped on tissue paper, so they are dimensional yet  light and airy. There is a left wing and a right wing . The are glittered and painted too. I added gold glitter die cuts around the pages. The accents are pearls, organza ribbon, gold and blue paint.

Hope you like my Sweet Halloween tag using the 100 Proof Press Big Cutie Baby stamp. I used the Faber-Castel yellow color pencil set  for color, which was amazing. I could even color on glossy paper! The background used the amazing  neutral Mixed Media sampler. "All you need to crate vintage looks! Let us Run If We Must

Its a Giant tag today using the awesome Gauche Academy kit and my favorite Star burst stamp by 100 Proof Press. I just love the saying about the little things taken on the run and when I saw the little black Retro Cafe Art cut out boots, I knew just what to make.

I started with the shoe image from Gauche Academy and layered it on of their tags.I happened to have colored circles that matched and layered them. I stamped the whole thing with the Sun burst stamp/More layers of black fabric and herringbone paper. The final details were the red tag hanger, Retro Cafe Art boots and the sentiment which reads" Half the joy of life is in the little things taken on the run. Let us run if we must."

Two for One

Today it's two for one, that means two projects from two wonderful suppliers in one post.The two companies are 100 Proof Press which I am a Design Team member and and Gauche Alchemy.The two paired up and mixing  their supplies was a fun challenge for me. I adore 100 proof press rubber stamps and when GaucheAlchemy sent their kit with Real vintage magazine pages, laces, scrap book pages, rhinestones, buttons and brads, I just knew what I would create.

 In the first collage I used the darling ostrich plume stamp from 100 proof press for the vintage beauty's hair. The pink lace, rhinestone, ring with happy image and finally the heart punchella; which I used as a stencil  were all in the kit. The hand cut sentiment came from a Gauche Alchemy vintage advertisement. Some Stickles and watercolor paint were all it needed as the finishing accents.

In the second collage it was the GaucheAlchemy advertisement for "opportunity" had started me. The scrapbook working office images just went with it.The row of books stamp from 100 proof press fit  right into the creation.The hand cut sentiment says "Work with me people to acquire this personal power....knowledge, education, training, facts!". I layered this on some painted paper with staples, Stickles and some pretty twine to complete this.

Now and then it's good to Wish

Yes, now and then it's good to wish..... especially if it's for my blogiversary giveaway. LOL. Well, the random number generator, namely my husband picked  Kristin  of Retro Cafe Art number from the comments. Congrats to you, Ill be sending out your goodies this week. Enjoy.

Today's card features a stamp from 100 proof press called Large Window. It is layered with a pretty ballerina image called Ballet Dancers from Debrina Pratt. Underneath are gold wavy textural and script patterned paper in tan. The accents include pretty two tone ribbon trim, a tulle with organza flower and a little Wish ticket. Sparkly details include tiny wings and Stickles on the dancers skirt, crown and bodice.
The hand cut sentiment says "Now and then, it's good to wish."

A Bewitched Marie

Today's post is a little ATC to my favorite queen. Marie Antionette. I while back I read the wonderful book "Marie Antionette" by Antonia Fraser and have a whole new appreciation of her. And no, she never said "Let them eat cake!" The inspiration was the magnificent French Woman Coffered 1 stamp by 100 Proof Press....I like to believe it really is Marie.

What better way to include my favorite queen in the upcoming holiday then to add Retro Cafe Art little black witch hat cutout and masquerade mask. I layered her on numerous papers including a scallop edged beige, a velvet ATC and the bottom layer is orange and green polka dots on black. Of course there is some Stickles accents and the sentiment "Bewitched".

Second Year of Sharing

My oh my, where has the time gone. I realized I almost missed my 2nd anniversary of blogging today! So  am putting this post up late in the day!  It's been a great experience sharing my art with you. I have made some amazing friends, worked for such creative companies and also been inspired and awestruck by your art! Today's piece is in honor of the three companies I currently design for Retro Cafe Art, 100 Proof Press and Gecko Galz. If you've never checked out their shops, you should ....you will be impressed. They always have lots going on with giveaways, blog hops, galleries for inspiration as well as, awesome products.
In today's piece the Gilded Frame stamp is from 100 Proofpress, the Fortunes Has It collage images from Gecko Galz and the little orange bottles from Retro Cafe Art.

In honor of this hop, I created a card using the wonderful Animal mask stamp. After stamping them out,  I fussy cut out the two birds and colored them with markers. I put the masks on some Renaissance Dancer figures I had. They are layered on two vine covered paper that I added some rick rack trim too. Of course  I added lots of Stickles glitter, big red jewels and sparkly red tulle. The hand cut text says "I'll dance with thee alone, I'll never leave thy side" which completed this piece. I'm including a picture of the stamp below too.

Sing a Song of Grateful

Today for 100 Proof Press I will be sharing with you a little card with one of my favorite images...birds. Why I like birds, I don't really know.... but I always have.  It must be something about their  flight and total sense of being so free, plus they're usually awful pretty! LOL.

So to start, I stamped and water colored painted the darling 100 Proof Press birdcage #2010 on an oval piece of white ceramic. It is layered with some sheer aqua ribbon. On a black card that is  layered  with striped paper, I touched  it with a bit of water color paint and added aqua corners. Some bird stickers were came next that I had been saving, but was determined to use. The words "Sing a Song of" are from Artchix Studio and I added the the "grateful". Some tiny eggs and some Stickle accents completed this little card.

Thoughts of you from a sandy beach

It looks like the Summer of Color Challenge is almost over! I have enjoyed sampling those fabulous flavors in my art. For week 5, it was a "wild  and reckless"  colored sherbert that we used as inspiration. It is described as A green apple, blue raspberry, and fruit punch flavored sherbet party. Fruit has never had so much fun." - Baskin Robbins. After a visit to Huntington Beach State Park in South Carolina, I decided to do a beach piece for this challenge. I've included some altered photos I took at the end of this post.

I decided to use the 100 Proof Press Victorian Woman in Beachwear as my subject. She is seated under a palm tree that I colored in front of a watercolored accented beach scene. There's some blue lace, a bingo card and a painted background. The sentiment reads "Thoughts of you from a sandy beach".

One week of Rainbow Sherbet

On and off last summer, I participated in the "Summer of color" challenge by Kristin at Twinkle Twinkle Like a Star. I vowed this summer I would try to do it every week. I'm glad I did..... because this year the color prompt inspiration is favorite ice cream colors! How cool (LOL) is that! For  week one  it's rainbow sherbet...I wouldn't really consider using orange and raspberry together, but it really does work! I am entering the challenge all summer  and I hope you will too.

To make this collage I started with a cream frame and stamped 100 Proof Press sunburst #6350  orange and water colored over it in raspberry. The main  curtain image is a from the Theater Collage Sheet found at  Retro Cafe Art  and is topped with a sweet confection of paper, glitter and fabric flowers. The darling dancers are from the Retro Cafe Art collage sheet Best Friends XOXO. Everything is accented with dots orange and pink  Ranger Stickles and highlighted with water color paints. There are some raspberry pearls for a bit of shine too. The sentiment reads "You're a star."

My King of the World is Published

I don't usually dedicate  a post ,but today this post is dedicated to my dear husband. He is a artist of junker model cars in 1/24th scale and I've shown you his cars and etsy shop "classicwrecks" before. The big news is that this month (June),  he was written up on two pages in Top Gear UK magazine (on pages 103 and 105). The magazine is out across the pond and doesn't come out in the USA till June 15th. You can find it in Barnes and Noble stores! We are so very excited that he got a mention. Top Gear is a TV show all about cars  and is quite entertaining and funny.  There is a show in UK and there is a USA version too. I am including a scan of the fabulous article today to share with you all.

I also made a little ATC in his honor. I stamped the 100 proof press Gilded Picture Frame #4058 and surrounded a Gecko Galz image from the Man o Man Collage Sheet. Some cardboard, brads, painted metal gears and some hand painted rust complete this piece. The sentiment reads "You are the king of the world", which is what my husband is! I am also  entering this in the  Art with no Boundaries challenge Anything goes Heavy Metal.
