Tiny woodland scene

Been working on a number of projects for Retro Cafe Art. I adore the variety of items that Kristin supplies in her gorgeous shop. You should check it out. She also has great giveaways and swaps on facebook too! Here's a tiny 1.5 inch little scene in a teenie tiny box,  that we will hang on our tree. Isn't the tiny deer adorable! I added the spots to make it a fawn.

Giving grace

Ornaments are on my creative list this season. Some of my dear friends receive them instead of cards, that way they can put them on their trees and look at them as time goes by. So I am giving memories or little reminders of remembrance.

Today's pretty pink and green piece is called "giving grace" and uses retro cafe art supplies,

Cutie Reindeer Gecko Galz Days of Christmas Tags

Its a wonderful days of Christmas tags at Gecko Galz! Heres mine for today for Day 7 with a cute little reindeer. Now who should I send this too this year? Maybe you!

To make this tag begin with red card stock and layer a striped/ dotted paper. The Gecko Galz reindeer image was fussy cut and glued on with pop dots for dimension. The red and green foam ornaments were tied with  matching red and green string and came next. The edges  of the tag were trimmed with red German Scrap from Retro Cafe Art and the same red and green string. The hand stamped sentiment says Merry Christmas and was layered on blue and green paper. The final accents include tiny green buttons, red and green Stickles and a red ribbon to hang the tag.

Glorious Russian Winter Tags

I am of Russian heritage and when I saw these beautiful Russian cameos, I just feel in love with them.  You all know how much I enjoy reading, so they also reminded me of reading War and Peace long ago. I know I am crazy reading books of such long length, but it's the story that I love and the ability to explore new worlds. So for  my December Gecko Galz design team project  I created these Russian tags, I hope you enjoy them.

To make these tags the backgrounds were created  by using doilies as stencils and spraying silver and gold paint. I applied the Russian cameos from the Gecko Galz sheets and added folded foil papers trim. The snowflakes, rhinestones, blue ribbon ties, Sentiment and Stickles were the final added  sparkly touches.

Paris Amour ATC Box

Paris is always a fall back theme for me and the Retro Cafe Art box fit it perfectly!  I will use it to hold ATCs from my swaps with other artist friends.

Sew Lovely Little Box

Here is a little box to hold tiny things on my art desk. I do so love the sewing theme. so looking at all the sweet supplies  from Retro Cafe Art, I knew they would all work together. The little box , mannequin cut out and collage sheets are just a few of their darling supplies.

Two different deers

 Well you all know what time it is! Why, its Christmas card making time. I have to gear up so I can make the 100 plus individual holiday cards to send out to dear friends and family. Below are two different takes on a "deer". One very sophisticated and the other very natural. They were both done from November Gecko Galz sheets. Also just to let you know Gecko Galz is looking for some new members for their design team. Why not check them out on their blog!

To make this card start with blue , dotted  and pink glitter papers and layer a gold fiber ribbon before gluing on the the Gecko Galz reindeer image.

Add  a pink German strap border, the Merry Christmas words, a tiny bow  and pearls to embellish it. The final accent is Stickles on the reindeer image .

Deer in the Woods

I glued on the Gecko Galz deer in the woods image on a cream card. I over stamped a pink branch with green ink. Some green sparkle fiber, wooded snow flakes with pinecones, and the word Happy Holiday were the embellishments. Water color paint and sparklie Stickles were used to accent the image.
