For a Retro Cafe Art Swap keeping with my mermaid obsession this month. I used the Retro Cafe Art chipboard merpeople dolls. I decided to imagine merpeople royalty! I made two sets , with a Queen mermaid and a King merman. One was green and the other blue. I had so much fun creating their seashell clothing, accessories, scepters and fishnet background. The favorite part is the fish scale stamped texture that I even put on their skin!
Hope you will enjoy a sea adventure this summer.
Continuing with this month's theme, here is another mermaid project for Gecko Galz's July2014, design team. It's a little mermaid pin using the Gecko Galz Mermaid Jewel sheet. If you check out their site , you will see there is so much to see, share and do. To make this I started with a pin blank that I put the mermaid image from the Little Mermaid Jewel inside. It was just the right size! It was covered with glossy accents, Sea shells, pearl beads and purple Stickles which were glued on the side. A pearl and some gold shell charms dangle from the bottom. Touches of purple stickles around the edge completed this sea side pin. Hope you will see the sea this week. Take care, Gerri
For the Gecko Galz Design team here is one of my projects for July 2014 using the Little Mermaid collage sheet. As you know mermaids are one of my fav themes, because when I was small I wanted to grow to be a mermaid. LOL.
To make this box I painted the box with different metallic paints the color of the sea. I hand stamped the under sea creatures and added gold stickers too. I fussy cut the mermaid images from the Little Mermaid July collage sheet. On the top I layered them with nets, sea shells, star fish, pearls, and tiny sea creature confetti. The center has a plaque that reads "Treasure".
