Some Bunny Loves You and that would be me

Well, today's the big day. I will be announcing the winner of my 300 followers giveaway. I am so proud to have reached 300 and now 319 in only 1 1/2 years of blogging. I will get right to the chase....the three winners are:         Neha..............2amscrapper.............Cheryl
Hope you all enjoy your prizes. Please email  me with your address and I will send out your sweet prize.

Have to show a little art today too,so for Pink Saturday here is a little egg that is mostly pink with a bit of paper green grass. I made it using a Retro Cafe Art egg  cutouts and covered it with some cross stitch paper I created. I layered this on beige lace and a scalloped edged paper oval that is pink ink kissed. I stamped the sentiment "Some bunny loves you" then added some pink Stickles and rhinestones. A white painted bunny  cutout from RCA has a pink fuzzy tail and is on a green striped paper in their tiny white oval frame. The hot pink bow and the paper green grass came last to complete this.

Hope some bunny will love you this week, 'cause you know I do.

This week at Gingersnap Creations during the month of March's focus on family, the challenge is Copper, Rust, Ginger,  #GC144 .  Did you know that Gingersnap Creations was my first Design Team position! As this is the last challenge at Gingersnaps, I want you all to know how much fun I have had and that I will miss everyone. Blue Phantom of Delight

Just a quick little post today, I'm showing an ATC for my  Retro Cafe Art design piece today. You should check out RCA's facebook page, they always have giveaways and fun stuff going on!

To make this I started with the base  from the RCA collage sheet Victorian Florals by Debrinia Pratt and layered it with  a shiny turq blue german scrap. Then I fussy cut out the gold and blue curtained piece from the collage sheet called Stage. I added the a RCA painted blue oval cameo frame with a sweet photo from their sheet of Vintage Belles. The corners are beads on gold and turq ribbons. The final touch was the sentiment  "She was a Phantom of Delight."

Hope you will be delighted this week.

I've never seen them dance like that for a stranger

With our family visiting so sorry I haven't been able to post the past few days. I promised to make it up to you dear friends, so I tried something different for 100 Proof Press.  I made a little yellow flower pennant. Its inspired by all the  bloomin' down here in the south and the Savannah  historic home and garden tour we took our guests on. It was simply stunning!

To make this sweet piece I stamped 100 Proof Press dancing girls #6294 on a transparency sheet, cut them out and added feather wings to make them little fairies. The single banner from Retro Cafe Art was trimmed with white eyelet paper. I painted yellow daisies with white and then punched out the centers from the eyelet paper. The added details include a yellow gingham ribbon hanger, tiny rhinestones and the sentiment : "I've never seen them dance like that for a stranger."

Hope you will see fairies dance for you this week.

Guess who came to play with me

Well, I must say it was such a fun play date. There were 12 playmates from around the world who received items from my stash and then sent me photos of their beautiful creations! Each one was so different and had such unique personalities, just like their creators. I think you will be amazed at the creativity and imagination especially since they were all using the same supplies. Oh, the little girl image I sent is  "Lucy" Retro Cafe Art, in case you want to know. There are lots of photos and I am presenting their creations in no particular order but there is also a link  for each person if you like to learn more about each talented artist and their pieces.

The power of love is infinite

This week at Gingersnap Creations during the month of March's focus on family, the challenge is Last Century  #GC144.  I created this 3d  Steampunk Shadowbox with a girlie twist.

Retro Cafe Art Galley is the generous sponsor throughout this month at Gingersnap Creations. You know if you read my posts, that they carry  awesome collage sheets and images in a variety of formats,  fun altered art supplies, fabulous vintage finds and more.  They are also offering prizes  to one randomly drawn winner from the qualifying participants for this challenge. Don't forget to check their facebook page, they are always giving away freebies too. Also, please do come back to Gingersnap Creations to vote  for the 10 Ginger Gems for this challenge.
To make this piece I started with the Retro Cafe Art Shadow box Shrine Steampunk Gear and painted it pink. Inside  the frame is a  picture of  vintage children that I water colored and a RCA rust mini paper flower  that I crushed .  On the outside there are also mini little gears attached with pink brads. There is also some paper doilies and some pointed lace layered underneath. A beige lace ribbon ties it off and the sentiment  is attached with pink brads and says " The power of love is infinite".

Hope you will experience the power of love this week.

Getting ready for our first guests here in the lowcountry. We've been cleaning, cooking and deciding which site to take our guest to. I'm so excited to have visitors! Hope they will enjoy are new pet....alligator, that is. LOL. I did get a photo , so I'm sharing it with you since so many asked for a photo. Other news, I won some  blog candies recently...WOW!  Don't you think our papercrafting community is so very generous.I do!  But wait there's more, I received my twincies swap  held by Gingersnap Creations. Everyone is so talented who participated. I want to share them with you too. Of course, the last thing is a little card I made with all the things I adore like Paris, filigrees, hearts, Vintage Ladies and writing.

So to make this lovely collage card I started with a printed red ground, layered different papers with a Paris image, vintage lady, a teenie heart letter and a tiny pen and ink well. Some gold filigree corners, alittle jeweled necklace, gold German scrap, some golden Stickles and a gold ink kissed edge were the finishing details. The sentiment reads PS I love you.

Hope you will have some wonderful visitors this week.

Luck of the Irish

Happy St Patricks day, my friends! No, I'm not Irish but I do so love the 4 leaf clover. My grandmother's back yard  always had them so, along with my brother we all would collect and press them. We would  spend many a sunny afternoon drinking lemonade and grandma well, she might have a beer or two while we sat on the grass and looked for them.

Here's a  card with a Gecko Galz St Patricks Day image just perfect for today's celebration. She is layered with a glitter transparency, rhinestones and. a piece of a green doilie. The background paper is part of the Gecko Galz Victorian blue paper pack that I painted on. Some tulle, a wooden tag with "Good Luck" and two oh so cute Shamrocks from Retro Cafe Art's clover mix. Some little details are the green clip with shamrock ribbon, a clock cut from Gecko Galz and some sparkly green trim.

Hope you have the "Luck of the Irish" this week.
artfully yours, gerri

A Kid'll eat ivy too, wouldn't you

My mom used to sing us a silly song when we were young that went "Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy, a kid 'll ivy too, wouldn't you!. When I made this sweet little Easter card using the March Gecko Galz Easter sheet I thought of my dear mom. There are so many melodies form my childhood that I would love to hear my mother sing again. Are there any songs from childhood that you haven't thought of in awhile?

Well, I framed the cute little girl and kid with 100 proof press gilded picture frame that was stamped and watercolored and dabbed with gold Stickles highlights. The background is a Gecko Galz Victorian Blues Paper pack that I also watercolored for a softer effect. Some gold glitter buttons, some pink and gold ribbon and the Easter Greetings sentiment cut from the little girl and kid image and I was just about done. A purple ink kissed edged pink card was the final step and our little kid was off to eat his ivy!

Hope you will remember a sweet childhood tune this week.

My Little Sweetie Pie

This week at Gingersnap Creations during the month of March's focus on family the challenge is Border Punches #GC142.  This  card is for my daughter, my little sweetie pie who used to wear bunny ears around the house at Easter time when she was little!

Also please do come back to Gingersnap Creations to vote  for the 10 Ginger Gems for this challenge.

Well, to make this little Easter card I painted some printed paper that was not my favorite, this is how I can use any paper I have in a totally new way. I used a border punch on two of the edges and was glued on a polka dot base. Lots of die cuts with Stickles were layered under the sweet little girl image. To the sweetie pie image I added the darling Retro Cafe Art bunny ears cutouts and at her feet some their cute little Easter eggs cutouts too. They were both detailed with Stickles and a little paint. I added the sentiment "My little sweetie pie" and the pretty pink lace bow to finish up.

Hope you will meet a little sweetie pie this week.

Cutesy Sweet Little Lamb

Today for Retro Cafe Art here's a little Easter decoration. I think I'll put it out on our dining room table with all our other Easter decorations. I haven't done the table, but when I do I will show some photos. I just have to find them!

It was the Cutesy Critter Collage Sheet that inspired me with the sweet little lamb. I fussy cut it out and added a touch of Stickles. I put it in a white painted basket with  Retro Cafe Art's  tiny white picket fence and teenie tiny German cotton mushrooms. I just love these little mushrooms! They are all in some shredded paper green grass. I added some tulle, some ribbon, pink Dresden scrap and a pink felt stand to the basket. The final touch was a pink "Happy Easter" sign.

Hope you will see some cutesy critters this week, that make you smile.

My heart is with you

Just a quick little post today. Here's a card using an expected item...Can you guess what it is? Why it's packing tape. The red pattern and the green pattern  below are actually printed packing tape from the  local craft store. Its like transparencies but with adhesive!

I started by layering the green tape on a blank white paper. There are layers of red, notepaper and then my lady  and poppy image covered with red  patterned tape. The poppy appliques and crystal red hearts came next. The final touches were tiny heart flower rhinestones, shiny red german scrap and the stamped sentiment "My heart is with you".

Hope you will use something unexpected this week to charge up your creativity,
artfully yours gerri

They're remarkable beings, mermaids

Well, it's Pink Saturday and today's creation is mostly  pink  but I must admit quite a bit of pale blue. My inspiration this week is our gorgeous sunsets here in lowcountry. Yes they are pink and blue and totally gorgeous! So back to Pink Saturday....I do so love visiting Pink Saturday because there are all sorts of blogggers there not just papercrafters. I love to visit and see all the "pinkness" everyone has. This week my dear friend Lynne of Adorn is the guest pinkie! Please do visit and also  do thank you Beverly for hosting.

This little tag below started with a pale blue painted tag sprinkled with glitter. I overstamped 100 Proof Press sea horses #1579 as if they were swimming in the deep. I added the pretty glamourous mermaids from Retro Cafe Art Mermaid Collage sheet on layers of fabric shells and blue tulle netting. Some pale pink star fish, pink glittery bubbles, rhinestones and Stickles accents embellished the piece. The sentiment from a favorite fiction book says "They're remarkable beings, ephemeral jewels of the water world."

Hope you will meet a remakable being this week.
artfully yours, gerri
